ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) Farm tractors and different slow-moving autos will probably be allowed to journey a little bit quicker on New York roads underneath a brand new legislation.
Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo just lately signed laws that raises the velocity at which slow-moving autos can journey from 25 mph to 35 mph. Farm autos and building tools should have orange triangular indicators indicating that they’re slow-moving autos.
The measure was sponsored by state Sen. Pam Helming, a Republican from Canandaigua in Ontario County, and Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner, a Democrat from Spherical Lake in Saratoga County.
The lawmakers say the brand new laws was wanted as a result of building tools and farm tractors are being designed to journey at speeds greater than 25 mph.
The New York Farm Bureau endorsed the measure, which works into impact within the spring.
