The Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce honored Leonardo’s as its Enterprise of the 12 months for 2018.

That award and others got on the chamber’s 108th annual dinner on Wednesday, Oct. 24, on the Burlington Hilton.

On the dinner, the chamber welcomed its incoming chairperson of the Board of Administrators, KeyBank Vermont Market President Don Baker, and thanked the outgoing chairperson, Stephanie Taylor, of REM Growth. 

Among the many awards given had been;

Enterprise of the 12 months: Leonardo’s

The award is introduced to a enterprise “that contributes to our financial vitality and is guided by the rules of neighborhood service and philanthropy.”

The 2018 winner was family-owned pizza enterprise Leonardo’s.

“They ship recent, high quality merchandise to their prospects daily, supporting different Vermont companies alongside the best way,” a chamber information launch said. “Leonardo’s has demonstrated a powerful dedication to each their workers, and our neighborhood, supporting quite a few neighborhood occasions and organizations.”

Neighborhood Excellence Award: Tony Pomerleau

This award will not be an annual one. When it’s given, it goes to an individual who demonstrates an exemplary dedication to bettering the neighborhood.

The 2018 honoree was the late Tony Pomerleau, who died in February at age 100. The longtime developer and philanthropist leaves behind “a legacy that can proceed to serve our neighborhood as we speak and for a lot of, a few years into the long run,” the chamber information launch said.

Rising Star Award: Lisa Campion

The 2018 honoree is Lisa Campion of LMC Legislation.

The award acknowledges Wayne Robert, president of the Chamber from 1994 to 2006, and honors a promising Vermont enterprise.

The 2018 winner is Reconciled, a Burlington-based on-line bookkeeping and accounting companies firm. It employs 15 individuals.

“Working carefully with their shoppers, they supply the monetary data vital for companies to develop with out having to handle a part-time bookkeeper,” the chamber information launch said.
