A 22-year-old soldier, who suffered a head harm in an incident of stone-pelting in Anantnag district of South Kashmir on Thursday, died on the Base Hospital in Srinagar on Friday.
Sepoy Rajendra Singh was a part of a Fast Response Staff that was offering safety to a Border Roads Organisation (BRO) convoy on Thursday night. “At round 1800 hrs, when the convoy was passing by way of the Anantnag bypass tri-junction close to NH-44, few youths hurled stones on the car. Sepoy Rajendra Singh was injured after being hit by a stone straight on the top,” stated Col Rajesh Kalia, the Military spokesperson in Srinagar.
He stated Singh was offered first support and rushed to 92 Base Hospital, however succumbed to his head harm on Friday.
Singh, who hailed from Badena village in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, had joined the Military in 2016. He’s survived by his mother and father, stated the spokesperson.
With Singh’s demise, three troopers have been killed in several components of the Valley over the past two days.
Sepoy Ngamsiamliana (23) was killed throughout an assault on an Military camp in Luragam village of Tral in Pulwama district on Thursday. He hailed from Rengtekawn village in Mizoram.
On Friday, Lance Naik Brajesh Kumar (32) sustained splinter accidents throughout an operation in Malgunipura, Sopore, through which two militants have been killed. A resident of Nanawin village in Una district of Himachal Pradesh, Kumar had joined the Military in 2004. He’s survived by his spouse and a daughter, in keeping with the Military.
The mortal stays of the troopers have been flown to their villages for the final rites.
