BEIJING (AP) — China on Tuesday demanded the U.S. drop a request that Canada extradite a high govt of the tech large Huawei, shifting blame to Washington in a case that has severely broken Beijing’s relations with Ottawa.

International Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying mentioned Meng Wanzhou’s case was out of the abnormal and Canada’s extradition treaty with the U.S. infringed on the “security and bonafide rights and pursuits of Chinese language residents.”

Hua mentioned China calls for that the U.S. withdraw the arrest warrant in opposition to Meng and “not make a proper extradition request to the Canadian facet.”
